Problem:
The coal delivered to Zespol Power Station in Poland was continually ladened with metal contamination of all types. This unwanted, or tramp metal often resulted in damage to downstream equipment and high maintenance costs.
Solution:
Plant management installed two
Suspended Electromagnets above each of the two belt conveyors that transported the coal from the rail trucks to the storage silos to remove large, ferrous pieces. Smaller metal of all types was detected just downstream by
METALARM 3500 TR Metal Detectors.
